This year, International Women’s Day falls on Tuesday 8th March. Govanhill Baths have announced a week of events which culminate in the Women’s Equality March on Saturday 12th. The Trust would love all variety of community groups to join them for the march.

What happens when people have finance and support to back themselves? Find out at this event. Across four mornings, you'll receive training on facilitating the creation of Self-Reliant Groups: self-sustaining clusters where people can meet, save and create their own opportunities.
Gardening Taster Sessions for 16-19 yr olds
Get involved gardening at The Hidden Gardens with other young people age 16 – 19 . No experience required. Learn skills , have fun , find out about careers in gardening and local courses in horticulture at Glasgow Clyde College , Langside Campus. We can lend waterproofs and safety boots.

Greater Govanhill Magazine would like to pass on their congratulations to The Well for finding a new hub on Allison Street. The Well is a registered Scottish Charity based in Govanhill. They offer free Advice Consultations to clients who are disadvantaged through poverty, racism, limited English language skills, social isolation and simply not knowing how things work in the UK.

This is a free event with an optional donation that will go towards the 'Pay it forward' initiative at Category is Books, an LGBTQIA+ bookshop in Govanhill, in memory of the poet Callie Gardner.
