Time for one Poem - Podcast Launch!

To celebrate the launch of Time for one Poem - a new poetry podcast for people who don't read poetry - some the poets featured on the podcast will introduce themselves and give a short reading.

To make the podcast, host Annie Muir interviewed 12 poets from across the UK about how they got into poetry, and then talked to 12 local Glasgow poetry-sceptics (many of them living or working in Govanhill/Southside) about why they didn't!

The event is aimed at complete beginners to poetry, so even if you haven't read a poem since school/ever - come along!

Featuring: Jane Yeh, Rowan McCabe, Harry Josephine Giles, Gboyega Odubanjo, Theresa Muñoz, Nia Davies and Sean Wai Keung. This event is being hosted by poet and podcast-host Annie Muir.

This is a free event with an optional donation that will go towards the 'Pay it forward' initiative at Category is Books, an LGBTQIA+ bookshop in Govanhill, in memory of the poet Callie Gardner.
