International Roma Day 2025
International Roma Day is celebrated worldwide on the 8 April, and is a day to celebrate the richness of Roma culture as well as raising awareness of the issues that Roma people still face. Locally, the day has been celebrated annually for over ten years since Romano Lav officially started marking the day.
Free support clinic for migrant communities in Govanhill + eVisa transition
Citizens’ Rights Project is a charity providing information, advice, and support for migrants in Scotland. Their advisers will be visiting Govanhill on Tuesday 25th March and will be offering free advice and support on switching to a digital eVisa.

Join the Govanhill Community Litter Pick group for a special litter pick this weekend and make your own costume from recyclables; the best costume winner will get a prize at the end of the day. So don’t miss out on the next big litter pick this autumn before the wintertime kicks in.
Govanhill Litterpick – Saturday 28 September
The Govanhill Litterpick Group are hosting another community litterpick this Saturday from 10:30-12:30pm. As a community-led initiative to keep Govanhill’s streets and lanes clean, they are reliant on the efforts of volunteers each month to both organise the litterpicks and participate in them.
