Natural dyeing is an ancient art craft that is making a comeback into modern society as we search for ways to adopt slower, greener and self sufficient ways of living. Not only is it a creative solution to disrupt the vicious cycle of fast fashion, natural dyeing is an accessible way to connect with nature (especially if you live in a city!)

Join Eco Dye and Glasgow Zine Library for a beginner course in natural dyeing with food waste and flowers.

In this online zoom session, you’ll learn the basics of natural dyeing and how to transfer natural colour to fabric using a contemporary technique called Bundle Dyeing. By the end of the class you will have created a one-of-a-kind piece made by you and Mother Nature herself!

Please bring a notebook and pen to record your process.

This event is suitable for ages 16+, and will be held online. Access links will be sent to attendees in advance of the event. For any technical problems, please email glasgowzinelibrary@gmail.com.

In order to make their events more accessible to those on a low income, Glasgow Zine Library uses a sliding scale ticket price of £0-£12 for our events. You can choose what you pay based on your economic circumstances. Their ticket sales go towards running our spaces and supporting DIY makers. If you have a free ticket and can no longer use it, please contact the Glasgow Zine Library to let them know here: glasgowzinelibrary@gmail.com

Glasgow Zine Library is an archive and library based in the Southside of Glasgow. It acts as a growing archive of self-published works, with an inviting and accessible area of reading in the space, as well as running a year-long programme of events to celebrate the ethos of Do It Yourself (DIY) culture.
