Music Broth - Making Music in Lockdown

Music Broth - Making Music in Lockdown.jpg

‘Music Broth - Making Music in Lockdown’ is a documentary story and compilation of music, photographs, and video showcasing the creativity and lived experience of our Glasgow, Scotland community in COVID-19 lockdown.

How Music Broth has adapted their Music Broth musical library support to their community needs; they have made over 100 zero contact sanitised library instrument deliveries/collections during lockdown, and their tutors and learners have adapted to live online tutoring and YouTube tutorials. It shows the positive effects creativity and self-expression through music has had on the community mental health coping with the isolation of lockdown and the stress of a global pandemic. It also premieres the video ‘We Are the Young People of Today’ written and performed by some of our young songwriting workshop participants in lockdown.

The International No Labels No Walls+ We Are One festival on September 14th-19th 2020 brings people together from all over the world to celebrate humanity and to create positive social change.

The festival is free and everybody is welcome! You are invited to follow this event and the rest of the festival live here.
