Glasgow Women’s Library celebrates the centenary of Scottish artist Joan Eardley’s birth with a career-spanning exhibition of her striking artworks. One of Scotland’s most admired artists of the twentieth century, her paintings transformed her surroundings into expressive and vibrant portrayals of everyday life. She is best known for her series depicting the children of Glasgow’s East End as well as her landscapes of Aberdeenshire’s rugged coastline; both of these series will be represented in this exhibition. Come along to to this free exhibition to celebrate this queer Glaswegian aritst’s life and work.
