The Arkbound foundation are hosting an event to launch their upcoming book, 'Climate Adaptation: Accounts of Resilience, Self-Sufficiency and Systems Change'.
This book will showcase real sustainable alternatives to the current socio-economic model of extraction and exploitation of people and the environment in order to provide a constructive and informative vision of a positive future.
The launch event will consist of three authors giving talks about their pieces in the book and the themes that extend from this, with 45 minutes of talking, 30 minutes for a Q&A session and 30 additional minutes for mixing and book signing.
The authors at this event will be:
Rupert Read, an environmental philosopher who focuses on 'transformative adaptation'.
Renuka Thakore, founder of Global Sustainable Futures, who is contributing to a piece about the effects of climate change on oceans.
Jane Riddiford, founder of Global Generation, who focuses on community gardens in London.
