The First Annual Artist-Led International Soapdish Market of Glasgow 2024

This Christmas, Southside Studios and Morven Mulgrew have washed their hands of choice and are introducing to you, the single item market for Christmas bulk buys to encourage panic-free gifting! 

Come browse a multitude of innovative solutions to that bathroom staple - the humble soapdish- dreamed up by artists and designers from all over Scotland such as Saskia Pomeroy, Laura Aldridge, Debjani Banerjee, Rhona Warwick-Paterson, Kate Trouw, and more! Expect works in ceramics, metal, wood and even conceptual propositions that no bathroom has ever before experienced, probably.

Each artist will also cast their own soap, so if sculptures for sinks aren’t your jam, let’s face it, we all gotta wash our hands.

As well as the stalls, The First Annual Artist-Led International Soapdish Market of Glasgow 2024 is serving up purchase-positive techno tunes from the one and only DJ Despicable Bastard, hot gluhwein and warm doughy snacks,  a bubbly poetry reading by the inimitable Mercuro Chrome and even an exhibition entitled "International Expo of Soapdishes in the Expanded Field". Yeah, we like soapdishes.

No entry fee, just come and support your local artists and buy everyone soapdishes for Christmas! We take cards and cash.
