Sound Healing at the Wee Retreat

For those in UK / Central belt Scotland who wish to reconnect to themselves with a rejuvinating soundbath in one of Glasgow's loveliest yoga studios, @theweeretreat.

Rory Conder is a certified Therapeutic Sound practitioner known for delivering unique sound meditation experiences.

Incorporating different styles of overtone singing,Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, drums, gong and a variety of other instrumentation, each sound bath is a unique journey into the Self where relaxation, acceptance, clarity and rejuvenation emerge.

The theme of January will be FIRE, LIGHT and SOLAR ENERGY, with the return of our seasonal shifts into one of growth, optimism and nourishment. Breathwork and guided meditation prelude the sound bath to enhance the effects and relaxation of participants.

Take time for yourself and embody a deep healing practice that brings you out of the cycles of your life and into relationship with your body, mind and heart.

The Wee Retreat studio space is the perfect location to relax, unwind and bring your focus inwards. We find in daily life our attention wants to draw us towards our goals and away from our fears, finding little time to sit with what is. Connecting to the self, especially using therapeutic sound, can help heal emotional trauma, clear energetic blockages, still the brain waves down to the alpha/theta border of deep relaxation and dream/sleep, shifting ones awareness into the subconscious realms, allowing visions and impressions to appear.

Approaching a soundbath like a sonic spa helps align ones intentions with clearing and revitalising, and the body is designed to do this through rest. Deep listening, without expectation or attachment is the medicine here, and some sounds may bring up emotional content, allowing it to be shifted with the weaving of sounds and breath.

Bringing a blanket and pillow if one desires more comfort is advised, however yoga matts, spare blankets and eye covers will be provided for attendees.
