Call Out For Car Drivers: Erskine Welcome Refugees Demo

Stand Up to Racism are holding a massive demonstration in Erskine this Sunday to show solidarity with the refugees who are being housed in a hotel there.

The news that over 200 refugees will be housed in Erskine has sparked racial tensions as over a thousand of Erskine’s residents signed a petition expressing their anger at not being consulted on the matter.

The aim of the demonstration is to oppose the number of negative responses from local residents, many of whom shared an unfounded fear of violence from those placed in the hotel after hearing the news.

Stand Up to Racism are asking as many people as possible to join their demonstration to show that refugees are welcome here in Scotland. They are calling on anti-racist car drivers to help others make the journey.
