Young Feminist Book Club is a new project starting at Rumpus Room! Working alongside Tarka Heath, the book club will involve reading (age-appropriate for 12-16 y/o) books, magazines, zines and fun printed things together.
Starting from the collection of books held at Banshee Books-a DIY library of anti-racist, feminist, queer + questioning printed stuff made with + for young people (@booksbanshee on Instagram), we will enjoy group chats, make artwork and visit libraries around Glasgow.
Young people aged 12-16yrs are invited to get involved. You do not have to be a confident reader to join, listening to people read is also taking part! The Young Feminist Book Club will be a welcoming and supportive space for young people to listen, read, share, learn, question and make together and at their own pace.
The free sessions taking place this year will be on the 2nd + 9th of December from 4:30pm - 5:30pm in the Rumpus Room studio. Hot drinks and snacks provided!
