Elsa Vibert, Programme Officer at the Social Enterprise Academy said:
“It's been brilliant to partner with the Scottish Refugee Council and we're so excited to continue this partnership through a second year of the New Scots Leadership programme. We share the same values of creating a fairer world and together we want to create thriving and cohesive communities. This can only happen when we include everyone.
“This impactful partnership will provide refugees and asylum seekers with the tools to shape their future, build on their existing leadership strengths and empower them to play a proactive role within their community. We look forward to welcoming participants onto this wonderful learning journey!”
Sabir Zazai, CEO at Scottish Refugee Council:
“We are delighted to offer this leadership programme for a second year, following the huge success of last year’s programme. When we invest in the future of people seeking safety in this country, leaders emerge who can change the lives of others around them and inspire change. At this time of great crisis, it is more important than ever to be providing forward-thinking opportunities for people to connect, learn and grow together, and to build the welcoming communities that we want to see.”
