Come along to a special event for International Women’s Day 2024. Since the late 50s, early 60s the South Asian community in Glasgow have been using Govanhill Baths. When the Baths were closed in 2001 one of the communities to suffer most were the South Asian Women. They came to the woman only swimming, sauna, Turkish, used the steamie and were part of the Save Our Pool campaign to re-open the Baths. They also came to well-being classes and events when the Baths building opened from 2012-2019. We are delighted to offer an
afternoon dedicated to these women who will be first in the door when the Baths reopen.
