BHASHA Glasgow Language Festival: line up announced

The Bhasha Language Festival 2024, takes place from Wednesday, 21st February to Saturday, 24th February.

The festival is a celebration of the city’s many languages and the people who speak them. This is the sixth edition of the festival after it was launched by the Bangladesh Association Glasgow.

February 21st marks the International Mother Language Day; a day that commemorates those who lost their life when protesting for the right to speak their mother tongue.

Greater Govanhill CIC has proud to partner with the festival in the past. And this year, to celebrate the languages in Govanhill, we are putting together a special issue of the magazine that focuses on the topic of languages. It will be published on the 1st March.
