Gold and Nutty Milk Tea or Coffee
Kate also sent us this recipe which she started making recently on cold winter days.
Ingredients
Black tea or coffee
Almond milk
Tbsp of turmeric based spices
Cinnamon for garnishing
Nuts for garnishing
Directions
Make black tea or coffee.
In a separate cup mixt together almond milk and spices [I add Naturiya super blend but you can add your own mix that could include black pepper and cinnamon or chocolate].
Wizz the spiced milk with a coffee frother, or if you don’t have one, you can shake it vigorously in a carton.
Add the golden milk on top of your hot drink.
Top with finely grated nuts or sprinkle with cinnamon.

A blend of warming and immune-system supporting herbs macerated in apple cider vinegar. Drink through the winter to support immune function.
Ingredients
1 large chopped white onion
2 small chopped red onions
1 cup crushed garlic cloves
1 cup grated ginger
1 cup rosehips
Juice of 2 oranges (I also add the skins)
Juice of 2 lemons (again with skins)
Handful of fresh rosemary
Handful of fresh thyme
½ cup grated turmeric root
1 tbsp peppercorns
Apple cider vinegar
Directions
Add the ingredients to a 2 litre sized jar.
Fill the rest of the jar with apple cider vinegar and seal.
Allow to infuse for about a month, shaking every few days.
Strain using a fine sieve or cheesecloth and add honey – I usually like mine at a ratio of one part honey to two parts fire cider.
Label your bottle with the ingredients and date.
You can drink it mixed with honey, hot water and maybe a wee drop of whisky.
Tip: You can also add chilli peppers and horseradish for an extra kick.
